Festival Volunteers perform the following important tasks:
- Help with Festival promotion by hanging posters and distributing programs
- Warmly welcome Festival patrons
- Answer any questions our attendees may have regarding the Festival
- General crowd control and audience headcounts
- Ensure the audience of your assigned venue is seated on schedule
- Work together with venue staff to keep the venue space clean
- Distribute and collect audience surveys for each event
- Process surveys and other information post-Festival
- Attend a Volunteer orientation training session
- Work two or more shifts during the Festival dates (shifts are typically four to six hours)
- Have a friendly and outgoing personality - volunteers are the face of the Festival!
- Spread the word about the Wisconsin Book Festival to friends, family and community groups!
